100,000 Dollar Bill
Ever wonder what a 100,000 bill looks like or who is the President on a 100,000 dollar bill? Well wonder no more because at the coin show in Boston MA. They uncovered rare sheets of the 100,000 bill.

Each 100,000 dollar bill is said to worth about 1.6 million, unlike the 1,000,000 dollar bill which is not real you can actually buy them with different Presidents on the face such as Ronald Reagan the 100,000 bill is real.
The gold certificate note is used between Federal Reserve Banks and is not to be held by currency note collectors the bill features President Woodrow Wilson on The face.
Other large bills have been released such as $500, $1,000, $5,000, and $10,000 interest bearing notes were issued in 1861, and $5,000 and $10,000 United States Notes were released in1878
High denomination bills were last printed in 1945 and officially discontinued in 1969
The Government began taking bills over $100 out of circulation in 1969. Today there were only 336 of the $10,000 bills in circulation; 342 remaining $5,000 bills; and 165,372 $1,000 bills still being used
During the money show in Boston the Bureau of Engraving and Printing did hand out some money as souvenirs but before you get your hopes up for free samples of money keep in mind that the samples were shredded, sorry no free lunch there.
Other items on display at Boston included one of the few known remaining copies of the Declaration of Independence printed in Boston and silver spoons made by Paul Revere.

1884 Morgan Silver Dollar Value
Now that we have covered the 1883 Morgan Silver Dollar lets take a look at the value for an 1884 Morgan Silver Dollar. we have 4 us mints for this year including Philadelphia, New Orleans, San Francisco, and Carson City.
One of the most important factors of determining the value of a coin will be condition, as well as the number of coins that survived. There are other things but these are definitely important.
So lets take a look at some figures for an 1884 Silver Dollar.
Philadelphia: Mintage: 14,070,000 Proofs: 875 Mintmark: None
As you can see you did not have a ton of proofs minted now you may think that having a proof would be a better investment because of the number minted this is true in some cases however when you get to the higher mint states like a 66 you need to consider some other factors.
One of those being the condition of the proof what is the population of that coin? Generally speaking a proof will rise higher and faster but again this is not the case with higher grades. Lower grades will be under $50
Worth mentioning there is only 1 in “MS-68″ graded by PCGS
1884 San Francisco Silver Dollar: strikes: 3,200,000 Mintmark: “S” under the bow on the reverse Proofs: 0
This one is a great coin to have in brilliant uncirculated condition tough to get. a big difference between almost uncirculated and “bu” to the tune of thousands of dollars still in “au” few hundred dollars under that under $50
If you own the 1884-S and you believe you have it in a high condition have it graded by NGC, PCGS or ANACS
1884-O Morgan Silver Dollar: strikes: 9,730,000 Mintmark: “O” beneath the bow on the reverse.
Pretty much the same as Philadelphia for a value not really worth grading unless you have mint state 65 or higher do expect Buy Amoxil a weaker strike in most cases.
1884 Carson City: strikes: 1,136,000 Proofs: 3 known Mintmark: “CC” under bow on the reverse.
Ths is more of a common year for Morgan Silver Dollars From Carson City however still going to have a higher price than a Philadelphia or New Orleans. Have this coin graded in mint state 64 or above. Still more that a $100 in fine or better condition.
A proof did sell for $109,250.00
Depending on how you collect for this year, the 1884-S would make an excellent addition if you can not afford in “bu” go for the 1884-CC.

1883 Morgan Silver Dollar
The 1883 Morgan Silver Dollar was made at Philadelphia, New Orleans, Carson City and San Francisco. many people want to what an 1883 Morgan Silver Dollar is worth or is it better to have a 1878 Morgan Silver Dollar first year of issue.
As with anything else the condition of your coin is very important for this year you want to have in brilliant uncirculated condition. With the exception of Carson City and San Francisco the other mints for this year will have a value under $50 if not bu.

Mint mark: S for San Francisco directly under bow on the reverse Circulation strikes: 6,250,000
1883-cc Morgan Silver Dollar: If you could only afford to have 1 Carson City go for this 1 though of course i would say to have them all. This year is not rare for Carson City however the coin does have a good track record when compared with some other years.
Circulation strikes: 1,204,000 Mint mark: CC Carson City under the bow on the reverse.
When it comes to Carson City Morgan silver Dollars You can never have too many, only %2 of all Morgan Silver Dollars came from the Carson City Mint. People collect in all different ways if you collect by year go for the 1883-cc, if you have a higher budget choose the 1883-s.

The 1882 Morgan Silver Dollar was minted at 4 US Mints just like the 1881 Morgan Silver Dollar. A lot people want to know how much is a 1882 Morgan Silver Dollar is worth today.
To Answer that question lets look at the different mints. As am sure you know even if your not a Silver Dollar collector condition is important.
1882 Philadelphia: Look for this coin to be at least Brilliant uncirculated, coins under that are not going to fetch much if you feel you have a great example maybe a proof like quality coin get it graded or if you think it may be above a mint state 65. Always grade your coins by NGC, PCGS or ANACS.
If you are lucky enough to have a real proof as you may already know it is pretty scarce depending on condition differences of thousands of dollars.

1882-o Silver Morgan Dollar: Look to have this coin in Brilliant uncirculated as well gets harder to find in mint state 65 or above if you a deep mirror proof like have it graded.
A rare variety of the 1882-o in bu is the o over the s o/s the O is sometimes seen punched over a prior S.
Circulation strikes: 6,090,000 Mint mark: O New Orleans under bow on the reverse
1882-s Morgan Silver Dollar: Unless you have this coin in ms 65 or better no real need to have it graded. The only real rare ones would be a deep mirror proof like Still a beautiful example of the San Francisco minting coin should have nice strike and luster.
Mint mark: ”S” San Francisco under the bow on the reverse
Circulation strikes: 9,250,000
1882-cc Morgan Silver Dollar: Try to have this coin in Brilliant uncirculated condition having it in almost uncirculated or below falls off by $100. This year is a little more common from Carson City however still an important coin for your collection. Proof likes will be tougher to find an exceptional coin would be in mint state 66 or 67.

The 1881 Morgan Silver Dollar was minted at 4 us mints just as the 188o Morgan Silver Dollar, we have the Philadelphia mint, San Francisco, New Orleans, and Carson City.
People want to know what is an 1881 Morgan Silver Dollar value, you do need to have some information about the coin before that can be answered, such as the condition and the mint mark. Lets take a look at some stats.
1881 Plain: Philadelphia Has no mint mark which is why it is call plain and how you know identify it. Unless you have this Morgan Dollar in a brilliant uncirculated condition your talking under $50. Coins as you may know are graded on a scale of 1 to 70 a a brilliant uncirculated or bu starts as mint state ms60.
If you plan on selling the coin you may want to get it graded if you believe it is in a higher condition like a gem bu ms65 or better they can go for a few hundred or more again it comes down to condition, the difference between ms66 or ms67 is a big deal.

1881-S Silver Dollar: You want to have this coin in a bu condition as well. Coins from San Francisco are known for being sharp in detail as they had a unique minting process. To go for more than a couple hundred needs to be ms 66 or better.
Circulation strikes: 12,760,000 Mintmark: Small “S” (San Francisco) bow on the reverse
1881-CC Morgan Silver Dollar Though the 1881 Carson City had a lower mintage that an 1889 it is not nearly as rare. still an excellent coin to have as part of your collection. If you plan to sell it is a good idea to have it graded as an almost uncirculated to a bu is going to make a few hundred dollar difference.

There are many ways to collect Morgan Dollars some like buying Silver Dollars in bulk and picking through the coins. Others spend time just going after 1 mint, some collect by variety. Of course many people collect Morgan Silver Dollars for the excellent track record of going up in value.
